When I began to review the Grundig G5 AM/FM/SW Portable Radio I expected a lot. I was hoping to hear Gilligan’s plea for help or a shipwrecked Tom Hanks demanding a better script. I expected Somali pirates, pirate radio, and every other reviled world talk to be within the twist of the dial.
Scrolling through the Grundig shortwave stations is like pressing the seek button on the car stereo during a cross country road trip. While unboxing the little pills I examined them from top to bottom and thought to myself these things are going to sound terrible.
I plugged the speakers into my iPod and fired up a couple of different songs of varying genres to put the speakers to the test.
