Shower Pod 900 Mhz Wireless Shower Speaker

You’re singing in the shower to your favorite song. You’re getting into it and dancing then SPLASH! You get your radio wet, hear a buzz, and your radio is now out of commission. The Shower Pod Wireless Speaker System gives you peace of mind not only because the speaker is water resistant, but your iPod is also protected. In fact, it doesn’t even have to be in the same room!

You can hook up virtually anything with a headphone port and you’re good to go. It claims to work up to 100 feet away, though I am sure you don’t need your device at quite that distance. I tested it through 2 walls, literally 3 rooms away, and there was no difference in quality. Great for outdoor use with a barbeque, a day at the park, and even out camping.

Pros

This water resistant speaker has a hook that can turn and hang on virtually anything. So, it’s not only for the shower. It can be used outdoors as well.

It has a pretty loud speaker with a nice sound and volume controls.

Cons

This item does not have an actual iPod dock, so there are no controls on the speaker side since it’s just transmitted through an auxiliary cable. The package boasts that the speaker is “waterproof” yet in small print at the bottom of the packaging, it reveals that it is only water resistant or splash proof. The only real deal breaker for me personally is that you cannot control your iPod through it, but not having to worry about possibly exposing my iPod to water damage is a fact that makes up for this design flaw.

This is a great item to have for the shower singer in all of us. It’s a better alternative than replacing a cheap radio every few months and really works well , despite its flaws.
