How many times have you been plugging away in the day only to wish that you could listen to your favorite song to help you through? How many times have you been lounging out on the beach thinking a little music would make this perfect moment of relaxation a bit more perfect? Whether you’re just trying to make it through the work day or trying to add a great soundtrack to an already stellar day, the ILive Portable Music System can provide you with just what you need at a great price and in an attractive, color-coordinated and portable little package. After all, everything’s better when set to music.

The iLive is nothing overly fancy. It has an AM/FM radio, an iPod function, and an AUX function that allows you to use the boombox as a speaker for an outside input like your computer or another audio device. The sound quality is good, it’s easy to switch between the different functions, and the bright colors this system comes in definitely makes it an eye-catching addition to your earthly possessions. You can control your iPod on the actual iPod or through the simple to use controls on the top of the boom box. It adapts easily for all generations of the iPod, including the 60GB, video, classic 80GB or 120GB, the Nano, and the Touch. Overall, the system is a good one for the price. There are only a few issues I take with the system. First off, the fact that it has an analog tuner, making it much more difficult to find the right station than a digital tuner. Also, it requires 6-C batteries to run without an AC adaptor. Lastly, the dial used to switch the system for different iPod models is hard to turn, unless you have a flat-head screwdriver or a quarter around when you need to turn it. By no means is it impossible, but it slows down the process and can get frustrating if you just want to listen to your favorite jams NOW.

The iLive Boombox is a perfect system for someone who wants something inexpensive and portable to bring with them around town—and hey, it matches your iPod to boot! Take a look at it today on our sponsor’s website http://www.asavings.com/p-24410-ilive-ib109blu-portable-music-system-boom-box-with-ipod-dock-blue.aspx and add some tunes to your days.
