Travelite Portable Luggage Scale & Flashlight

Air travel is more stressful than ever.  Security checks and flight anxiety are a bearable part of any air-bound trip, but not an overweight baggage charge.  I fly a few times a year and like many fliers, I’ve had to swap item from my luggage into my carry on, or just dump things in the trash.  My bathroom scale may be the culprit, but I should know better and use a scale intended for bulk items.

Travelite’s entry in to the portable scale market is the Travelite Luggage Scale.  The lightweight and ergonomically designed scale is a fantastic price-point item.  A T-bar design and nylon strap ensure an easy lift.   The EZ Weigh indicator window faces up and shows you the weight, and flashes red for over 50lbs and green for under.  Also included is a built-in 12 LED flashlight.  One drawback I noticed was that the scale was dead-on most of the time, but the weight could vary but a couple of pounds sometimes.  Travelite does have a 5 year unconditional guarantee on the unit.

In my opinion the Travelite Luggage Scale is smartly designed and thankfully comes with batteries (I have when companies cheap out on them).  The strap and clip for weighing luggage were sturdy and the unit was easy to grip.  Fliers in the market for a price-point scale will love the scale.
