Amazon’s Kindle and Sony’s PRS-505 may be getting a lot of press, but Ectaco’s jetBook get our kudos. Packed with a variety of features not available in Sony’s or Amazon’s reader, the jetBook is also lighter and still easy to handle and read from. Ectaco’s jetBook only sports a 5-inch display with a 180° viewing angle, as opposed to Sony’s and Amazon’s 6-inch, but in addition to its sleek design, the jetBook more than makes up for it with a variety of features and longer lasting battery life.
The multi-language e-Book support means you’ll be able to read e-Books in over 30 languages. Additionally, the jetBook allows you to adjust font style and size. Keeping the traveler in mind, the jetBook is pre-loaded with Fodor’s Travel Guide and CIA World Factbook. It also comes with a built-in dictionary!
You can store more than books on the jetBook. With an SD card, you can store and play your MP3 files and browse pictures. The lithium-ion battery is said to last 11,500 page turns (as compared to 7,500 on both Sony’s and Amazon’s readers).
