Logitech V220 Cordless Optical Mouse
Like many young professionals, I’m always on the go. I travel nonstop around this city, running errands, getting work done, or meeting friends. I also like to stay organized; I like to sync my iPod or Blackberry, send emails, check my twitter and surf the web. This is why it is important for me to have a good laptop and mouse; I need to be able to get work done wherever I am. Now, it takes a lot to get me to put down my hard earned cash on a product; it either has to be a very good product or vital to my productivity. Fortunately, the Logitech V220 wireless mouse is both.
As most laptop users know, using the built in touchpad can get old really quick. It’s not really built for serious computer use. There’s a certain ease of use that only a mouse can add to your workflow. First of all, the mouse should be just as portable as your laptop or netbook. The V220 is super portable thanks to its diminutive size and the fact that the USB receiver is stored on the underside. This means I can use it just about anywhere, even the small tables at my favorite coffee shop where I steal wi-fi.
Another important factor when choosing a mouse for a notebook is battery life. The last thing you want to happen when you’re out is to have your mouse turn into a useless mass. The V220 is great because it runs on one battery and has an indicator light that is green when the battery is good, and turns red when the battery is low. The mouse also includes an on/off switch that ensures you get the longest battery life possible out of your Logitech V220.
Lastly, this mouse just feels right. It’s a smaller mouse yet fits firmly in your hand and has a solid feel. Rubberized sides and finger grooves make the mouse very ergonomic and comfortable to use and the V220 features an ambidextrous design that makes it fit in either hand easily. It’s hard to believe that something as simple as a mouse has changed the way and speed at which I work, but it has. If you’re looking to speed up your workflow while on the go then this is probably the easiest and most inexpensive way.
