Ladies and gentleman, I have a problem: I love coffee entirely too much. I am a coffee fiend. In my mind, there’s nothing that an Espresso macchiato or white chocolate mocha can’t fix. It’s a big incentive to get up in the morning and makes being stuck in traffic surprisingly bearable. That’s right, coffee is king and I am but a humble servant.
But when my coffee goes cold, it is no longer the resilient bastion against weariness and my general abhorrence with the human race. In fact, if my coffee goes cold, any human in my wake had better watch out, there’s no telling what could happen. That is why I was when I came across the Smart Mug by Princess International, there was a unanimous sigh of relief from my co-workers, my family and my girlfriend.
The Smart Mug, is a travel mug powered via a 12 volt car adapter that allows the user to heat liquids to temperatures from 85 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. This means that I can pour my precious macchiato into it before heading off to work and enjoy it when I get there, nice and hot, no matter how long I was stuck in traffic on the way there. All I have to do is input the desired temperature into the control panel and when it reaches that temperature the mug beeps, letting me know it’s done. The LED display on the mug let’s me know the current temperature of my beverage so I’m assured my coffee is always piping hot.
It’s not rocket science; this item is simple to use and works great. Clean up isn’t an issue as long as you make sure to remove the inner rubber sleeve and wash that, as opposed to washing the entire mug. It is a mechanical device after all, one that I owe my sanity to. I’m quite convinced that my fellow New Yorkers would have one more on edge driver to deal with if it weren’t for the Princess International Smart Mug. Everyone around me can honk and yell all they want, but I’m sitting pretty with my coffee in hand, and that’s just the way I like it.
